“Peoplefinder online”

Tuesday, 23. February 2010

Everyone has thought at one time or another to “find someone through a people search” that they had lost contact with over the years. “People search engines” are popular because so many people are looking for friends, family or relatives on line. They key in “find anyone now,” “free people search” or “people search by name” on Google, MSN and Yahoo hoping to search for names of those they have lost touch with or got separated from for different reasons.

People searches can be costly, however. That’s why I like ACME people searches, they are free.

“Peoplefinder-details” – How to find anyone

People searches are very popular

There’s a variety of reasons why people need to find people but some of the common needs are as follows:

Background Checks

Companies have to be careful how they probe into someone’s past – legally they are required to have permission from the job applicant prior to running a background. Some companies prefer online people searches – usually $30 or less – because they can perform a pre-employment screening to validate the identity, the background and any criminal files of the applicant. pre-employment screening

Personal Needs

Nearly 2 billion searches online daily have to do with “peoplefinder-details.” At some point in everybody’s life, there becomes a need to find someone from their past. “Peoplefinder Services” have become even more popular with two television shows about family reunions.
One of my favorite programs is “The Locator” hosted by Troy Dunn who, along with his staff, tracks people down all across the country. Stories vary. There was one episode where a man was looking for his biological father whom he separated from at birth when his parents divorced. He never knew anything about his dad. Troy Dunn found out the father had died. But he also learned that there were other siblings. So a reunion was arranged and as you can imagine, it was very moving. Most of the stories are heart wrenching.

Safety or Curiousity

Checking on a potential date or in-house employee
Sometimes people are nosy and it’s fun to find out about people especially if the person they are spying on doesn’t know. But there are safety reasons too. What if you are about to date someone you met online but don’t know anything about them? Or you are thinking about hiring someone to work in your home – a nanny, gardner or roofer?
While criminal background checks are routine in the commercial business world, most people are reluctant to perform one for people they are hiring to work in their homes. With today’s technology, it’s easy to background anyone. You still want to get a person’s permission. They shouldn’t be offended as they would have to subject to one in the workforce.
